Four Gospels, One Lord

There is only one gospel message that we proclaim and only one Lord Jesus, so why do we have four gospels in our Bibles with different depictions of Jesus? Why did the early Church not get their act together and agree on just one version of how Jesus’ life would be remembered and recounted? Who exactly was Jesus, and what does each gospel help us understand about him? How are we to read and make sense of the gospels? These are fundamental questions that will be considered as our interim teaching pastor Mark Vitalis Hoffman leads us through an introduction to Jesus and the four gospels. What we shall discover is that the gospel message needs the unique portraits and perspectives of each gospel author in order for us to understand the full picture of Jesus as Lord. The class will meet on Sunday, September 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the Upper Room.
