Four Summer Camps To Be Offered by Discovery Place

The 42nd Annual Hanover CROP Walk will be held on Sunday, October 21, at South Western High School.  Registration begins at 12:30.  The Hanover High School Steel Drum Band will be playing for your entertainment until the Walk steps off at 1:00 p.m. following brief comments and a prayer.  Walkers may choose an in-town route or use the track.  Restroom and water/apple stops are located along the in-town route.

There are several ways to participate in the CROP Walk.  One, of course, is to walk!  You may register on-line at or you may sign up at the registration table in the Gathering Place on Sundays beginning September or in the church office during the week.  You will be able to register at the table at the Walk. Two is to donate (sponsor) a walker or our team.  You may also do this on-line or by making a check payable to: CHURCH WORLD SERVICE.  (Please note–do not make your check to St. Matthew!)  Checks may be dropped in the offering plate or mailed or brought to the church office.  Please contact Deacon Jan Davis for more information.

The proceeds from Hanover’s CROP Walk will benefit people all over the world.  25% of the funds will be divided between PAL, God’s Meal Barrel, New Hope Ministries and Head Start.  CROP funds will assist those affected by the recent hurricanes in Texas/Louisiana and Florida as well as other areas.
