Advent Mid Week Worship Services

These Advent Series will be held Wednesdays, December 4 & 11 focusing on the theme “A Promise to Hold & A Path to Walk”.  Dinner at 6:00 pm in Fellowship Hall, with worship beginning at 6:30 pm in the Nave

By the tender mercy of our God,
the dawn from on high will break upon us,
to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
(Luke 1:78-79)

We gather together around food and in worship in this two-week Advent series, centered around these two verses from Zechariah’s prophecy. For our first week (December 4), we hold onto the promise of God’s tender mercy that is the light that breaks forth in our darkness. For our second week (December 11), we open ourselves to the ways that God’s mercy guides us into a way of peace.

The services are intended to be contemplative and relatively short (about a half an hour) with a brief reflection from one of the pastors. If you attend worship services, please sign-up using the form in the back of the bulletin or you may email info@stmattlutheran.org.
